DMG Services acquires Scan Image Services

DMG Services, comprising the businesses of Filestores and Shred-it today announced that the company has acquired Scan Image Services, one of Ireland's leading scanning bureau's. Scan Image Services provides high speed scanning services on a global basis for businesses including data capture, document conversion and transcription services. The acquisition forms part of a restructuring and expansion by DMG Services into the development of the paper and e-paper element of its business.

Commenting on the acquisition, Cecil Ryan, Managing Director of DMG Services said, "This acquisition provides us with access into a growth market and supports our commitment to developing the scanning services side of our business. We can now provide our customers with a full range of document management services. Scan Image Services is a successful company with a dedicated staff and top-end scanning and imaging technology. Our aim is to grow this side of the business and to integrate it into a one-stop "scan:file:shred" service offering".

O2 and Hewlett Packard are among some of Scan Image Services existing customer base. Since 2003 DMG Services has adopted an aggressive growth strategy and has invested in acquiring a range of companies including Arcane Datastore and Gibbons Removals and Storage.
